My School Trip to Hokkaido

This time, I’m going to write about my experience, so this is not related to TIU.

I went to Hokkaido for school trip when I was high school student. I went to Sapporo, Otaru, Hakodate and Asahikawa.

Sapporo is the most popular city in Hokkaido.

In Sapporo, we saw Sapporo clock tower.  Have you ever seen it?  This is a symbol of Sapporo.  But, it made me sad. Because it is smaller than I think.  However, interior of it is very clear, so I recommend it.

In Otaru, there is canal. It’s very beautiful.

In Hakodate, there is a pentagonal fortress called “Goryo-kaku”. There is a tower near the fortress so we can see the whole of it. It has the shape of star.  In Hakodate, we really enjoyed a morning market.  The market has many delicious food shops, so we also enjoyed eating much delicious seafood.

And in Asahikawa, we went to Asahiyama zoo. When we arrived at there, lots of people were there, so it took much time to enter.  In Asahiyama zoo, we could feed some animals, but no one fed.

In Hokkaido, there are many Ainu people.  Have you ever talked with them?  They have local dialect, so I couldn’t understand what they say.  It was shocking for me, but I became interested in Ainu.
