My School Trip to Hokkaido

This time, I’m going to write about my experience, so this is not related to TIU.

I went to Hokkaido for school trip when I was high school student. I went to Sapporo, Otaru, Hakodate and Asahikawa.

Sapporo is the most popular city in Hokkaido.

In Sapporo, we saw Sapporo clock tower.  Have you ever seen it?  This is a symbol of Sapporo.  But, it made me sad. Because it is smaller than I think.  However, interior of it is very clear, so I recommend it.

In Otaru, there is canal. It’s very beautiful.

In Hakodate, there is a pentagonal fortress called “Goryo-kaku”. There is a tower near the fortress so we can see the whole of it. It has the shape of star.  In Hakodate, we really enjoyed a morning market.  The market has many delicious food shops, so we also enjoyed eating much delicious seafood.

And in Asahikawa, we went to Asahiyama zoo. When we arrived at there, lots of people were there, so it took much time to enter.  In Asahiyama zoo, we could feed some animals, but no one fed.

In Hokkaido, there are many Ainu people.  Have you ever talked with them?  They have local dialect, so I couldn’t understand what they say.  It was shocking for me, but I became interested in Ainu.

How we use the 2nd Floor Lounge?

Last time, I wrote about LEAP simply.  So, this time I want to write about how TIU students use the lounge.  We can do many things in the lounge; studying, talking, playing, and so on.  But! We cannot sleep, play any instruments, and play music especially around LEAP.  However some students occasionally sleep on the sofa. 

In the Lounge, there are many students and is English Lounge.  English Lounge is very important place to improve English.  We can talk about many topics with Mr.Nick, a teacher there is always in English Lounge.: food, transportation, hobby, and so on.

There is also Writing Lounge.  In Writing Lounge, We can be checked our draft and are corrected mistakes.  It is very useful place!

2nd Floor Louge

I want to write about 2^nd floor lounge.　There are many SLC students and lots of information.  In LEAP, there is always Mr. Otsuka, the assistant.LEAP is an abbreviation of ''Language Education Assistance Program''. We can borrow interesting English reading materials such as SRA.

Also we can make reservations about writing lounge and English lounge there.  In English lounge, we make English conversation.  It’s so fun!  There is always Mr.NIick.  We can talk many topics with him.   He is very interesting person.
